Regarding a rejected draft
[edit]@RangersRus: Draft:Anuradhapura invasion of Chola Kingdom (114-136) this specific draft was declined by you but the reasons for the decline was already solved, can you tell me the real reason for the decline.TeenX808 (talk) 08:08, 15 October 2025 (UTC)
The real reason was where I needed footnotes for verification but that was helped by Ranithraj. Further reason for decline was about the dispute about the draft where Ranithraj provided notes that the event is based on Chronicle and some historians doubt it's existence and call it exaggeration. So we need to go over this and see perhaps the draft content should be merged to another page or the title needs changed. 114-136 without AD or BC is not helpful either. RangersRus (talk) 12:01, 15 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: first of all only one of his sources calls it a tale while the rest of them considers it as a real historical event but with some fictional elements and the user isn’t a extended user also and I had provided sources which counters his argument also I can prove them wrong TeenX808 (talk) 12:17, 15 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: Breakdown of the sources the user has used. 1 to 5 the sources says the event should be treated with caution but none of them directly calls it fake or a myth but simply some of the event is exaggerated and fictional elements have been added. Battles recorded by ancients contains fictional elements it shouldn’t be a surprise. 6- this is the only source which comes close to declining but it is unknown if they are talking about the tale or the medieval account 7 to 12- Is simply him saying this event isn’t mentioned in certain books but he contradicts himself since in the last debate he said “The fact that certain books may have overlooked it doesn't mean they disagree with the established historical narrative” while his reasons are just recycling and misleading info which the historians and a anthropologists has said , if you want I can break it down to. Can his so called sources which calls the event as a myth be used to counter the article also I have provided sources where historians considers it as a real event and there’s more which are unmentioned.TeenX808 (talk) 12:21, 15 October 2025 (UTC) Yes the sources calling the event a "myth" can counter and you yourself have said some of the event is exaggerated and fictional elements have been added. Battles recorded by ancients contains fictional elements it shouldn’t be a surprise. A source that declines the event also can not be ignored. When writing such articles where the sources are contradicting, you have to write it with a neutral point of view. RangersRus (talk) 18:52, 15 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: Only one of his sources directly declines the event and the source is old to begin with and majority of the sources consider it as historical event with mythical elements included in the account, also I agree some info are exaggerated but the specific user wants this entire event to be considered as a myth which does not make it fair also in the Legend or a Real event section I have clearly stated the minor opinion. TeenX808 (talk) 19:31, 15 October 2025 (UTC) Hi @RangersRus since you have tagged me. I would like to give my thoughts. Other user has misunderstood my sources and misinterpreting it to you. 1. First source has directly said that this invasion is based on Myth . 2. Second source also suggests whole account was added later which proves this invasion is not really happened and was a later addition in later chronicles. So the second source proves this this invasion didn't happen. 3.Third source said this invasion has lack of evidence. 4. Fourth one address this invasion as legend. 5. Fifth one says Whether there is any historical truth in that legendary description is a matter of doubt. So sources from 1 to 5 proves this invasion as myth and didn't really happened. 6. Sixth one also says this invasion is legend 7-12 sources skipped it because they considered it didn't happen. I hope you already read those sources or else you can read them as you know where are they. I hope we can the change the draft title by adding the prefix as myth or legend to the title.Ranithraj (talk) 19:45, 15 October 2025 (UTC) I would like to add some points to prove why it is Mythical or legend. 1. Chola Sources didn't mention it. 2. Dipawamsa and Mahavamsa didn't mention this. But later sources after more than 1000 years mentioned it. 3.No archaeological evidence to prove this event. 4. This invasion is based on the water cutting custom and other myth as said by Obeyasekare. 5. Majority of the Historians while talking about the history of lanka and history of South India, they skipped it. Because it is not real event. 6. The whole event was added later as said by Wijetunga. 7. There is no unanimity, even among the Sinhalese sources, as far as the career of Gajabāhu is concerned. sinhalese sources contradicts each other. 8. Sinhalese sources keep adding the myths and legends in their sources. 4th and 5th century sources didn't mention this invasion and 13 th century account mentioned this invasion but didn't mention the previous Cholas invasion but later 16 and 17th century account added the Chola invasion in the myth. It is noted by Cordington he mentioned it "According to the mediaeval account, in the time of his father, 12,000 men had been sent to work at Kaveri on the Coromandel coast ; in the late Rajavaliya this has developed into an invasion by the Chola king." So this is how this myth has been evolved and Obeyesekare also explained how this myth evolved. In his book on pg.368 "There is then remarkable evolution of Gajabahu story from the matter of fact in Mahavamsa to elaborated myth in Rajavaliya. Mythical elements are present in pujavaliya are absent in material from 5th century During this period, Gajabahu of history transformed into Gajabahu of myth. Pujavaliya commences myth making process by reference to cleaving the ocean and bring back captives." So the sources keeps on adding the myth into it. So we need to conclude this invasion as myth. I am hoping you will take the right decision and change the draft name by adding prefix as Myth or legend Ranithraj (talk) 19:50, 15 October 2025 (UTC) @Ranithraj@RangersRus: repeating the same thing when it’s proven wrong first of all Ganath obeysekara is a anthropologist not a historian even in his own book he has said he can’t clearly say if the event is mythical or historical and the points you brought is him trying to say some events could have been brought from other contexts. also the second source neither directly declines it but brings the probability of the event being mythical . 4th source clearly has a full stop before starting with the medieval account do you want me to send the meaning of a full stop? Again sources 1-5 as the above mention does not call the event mythical but doubts it also I have provided texts from historians also. 7-12 You are pretty much contradicting yourself as what you said in the last discussion “ The fact that certain books may have overlooked it doesn't mean they disagree with the established historical narrative” It is pretty clear you are ignoring the historians which accept this event as a historical event while doing it you are misleading statements and points by other historians the title dosent have to be changed but I have added the mention of fictional elements in the draft that should be able to satisfy you. Thanks TeenX808 (talk) 06:21, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus@Ranithraj: This is gonna waste both of our time, please check both of our sources also I agree to put the mention of fictional elements in the account but not changing of the title since only one of his sources directly declines while the rest doubts and it is clear the sources which I have provided hasn’t been read since the points which the user has brought was mentioned but still considered as a historical event. @Ranithraj stop repeating the same thing the discussion is simply getting longer because of the repeating, if you have something new to add please mention it also, there’s some historical and archeological proof further strengthening the account by Anton Sebastian also you are not a historian the points which you used to decline by saying the account is mentioned in later chronicles were already mentioned by historians which I added and yet they accepted it as historical. Me and this user is waiting for you to give us a decision.ThanksTeenX808 (talk) 06:49, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Let's make this simple and quick for me to look at. TeenX808 Please cite modern era sources from the draft that has significant coverage on the event and calls it either Myth or historical. Ranithraj, I would like you to cite sources and quotes from modern era that talks about the event as myth and did not historically happen. RangersRus (talk) 07:28, 16 October 2025 (UTC) I want to add that the sources should be from academic scholars, experts in the field of study. RangersRus (talk) 07:34, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus Here are the Sources 1) Gananath Obeyesekere in The Cult of the Goddess Pattini, on page 365: "The Gajabahu story is not a historical episode at all, but a mythic one associated with water cutting (and probably other customs) and incorporated into the two Sinhala chronicles. Thus the reason the earlier Mahavamsa account did not mention the episode is that it simply did not take place historically.... To sum up what I have said so far. The Gajabahu episode in the Rajavaliya and Rajarat nakara is probably derived from the origin myth of the water cutting ceremony or from similar myths and has nothing to do with the historical Gajabahu of the Mahavamsa, who lived in the second century.." 2) W.M.K Wijetunga Sri Lanka and Chola, 2003. Pg. No: 55 "The Rajavaliya gives the latest account, which is also the most elaborate, with the thickest coating of fiction and legend...... Pg. No 56 Similarly the list of places where the Cola prisoners were settled reveals the late origin of the whole account... The fact that the Dipavamsa, the Mahavamsa and the Vamsetthappa-kasini (Mahavamsa-tīka) have all remained ignorant of these events suggests that the whole account was added later..." 3) Short History Of Ceylon, Cordington 1994. Pg. 23 "A king of little account in the older chronicle, he has attained a certain fame in popular legend. According to the mediaeval account, in the time of his father, 12,000 men had been sent to work at Kaveri on the Coromandel coast ; in the late Rajavaliya this has developed into an invasion by the Chola king. " 4) The Early History Of Ceylon by Mendis. G.C. "One of the successors of Vasabha was his grandson Gajaba (a.d. 174-176). Later legends, without sufficient reason, represent him as one who invaded South India successfully and brought back a large number of captives to the island.1 Notes : 1.Neither the Mahavansa nor any early Tamil literary work mentions anything to support the stay. " These four proves this invasion as myth. I would like to give some other sources which doubts this invasion. 5) Sri Lanka : a history by De Silva, Chandra Richard, pg.34 "Pujavaliya a sinhalese work of thirteenth century does mentions Chola invasion and counter invasion. But the lack of evidence from earlier sources as well as the incredible tales connected with the counter invasions prompt us to treat the account with Caution " 6) . De Silva, Sanath; Siriweera, W. I. (2017). Warfare in Srilanka: Military History of The Island from Earliest Times upto Independence (1st ed.). Sarasavi. p. 26 " So called South Indian exploits of Gajabahu I (114-136) to avenge an invasion during the reign of previous ruler Vankanasika Tissa (111-114) are confused in detail and wrapped in hyperbole. Neither the Mahavamsa nor other ancient texts refer to Gajabahu's invasion of South India. It is mentioned only in the Rajavaliya written in the eighteenth century, sixteen centuries after the presumed event." Whether there is any historical truth in that legendary description is a matter of doubt”I hope now we can change the name of the draft and it's content as well. Ranithraj (talk) 13:08, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
I gave above the sources. Other than the sources I will give you reason why it is Mythical or legend. I suggest you to read it once, you will understand. If we analyse those points and think logically we can conclude this invasion as myth. Ranithraj (talk) 13:45, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Please do not post wall of repeated texts explaining why it could be a myth. I just need to view sources and give opinion on it. RangersRus (talk) 16:43, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Ok, In the comment above of it , I gave the sources. Could you have a look at it? Ranithraj (talk) 16:47, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus:The sources you asked for, if it’s too long skim through it.Sinhalayo 2012 pg11- “ Gajabahu is the only king of ancient Ceylon who has found a place in early Tamil literature, and it is not impossible that he undertook an expedition to South India. At any rate, his military prowess is attested by his title of Gajabahu (whose arm is of the strength of an elephant), by which he is better known than by his personal name of Gamani Abhaya”The ancient heritage of Srilanka part I by Wijetunga, Sirisaman (2016) “During the reign of King Wankanasika Tissa, the country was invaded by South Indian rulers. It is mentioned in Rajawaliya which was written in the 13th century AD. which was written during the Dambadeniya era, also confirms it.It is said that these invaders captured 12,000 Sinhalese and took them to South India. Pujawaliya mentioned that these captives were deployed in manual work in Kaveri river, India.King Gajaba, the son of King Wanka nasika Tissa who succeeded his father was furious over this matter and he invaded the Chola kingdom in South India and brought back these Sinhala men. This could be considered as a very important factor in the history of Sri Lanka. The name, 'Gajabahu' derives the meaning, the arm of an elephant.King Gajaba is considered as a very strong king.It is said that King Gajabahu walked across the Palk Strait by pushing the water aside using a huge iron mace. He was accompanied by his giant Neela. He brought the Sinhala prisoners back. He also brought the cult of Goddess Pattini” A Complete Illustrated History of Sri Lanka by Anton Sebastian 2018 “The royal couple, Vankanasikatissa and his wife Mahamatta, had a son by the name of Gajabähu (gaja, strong, bahu, arm) who succeeded his father to the throne in ca 108 AD. The new king Gajabähu I (Gamani) was a powerful character, and was thirsting to avenge the indignity caused to his father by the Tamils. He marched a large force under the command of his general Nila-Yodhaya to South India. The 13th century chronicle Pujavaliya describes the superhuman deeds performed by Gajabahu and his general when they reached the Chola king's capital, Thanjavur, in the valley of Kaveri River. Gajabhu threatened to raze the city unless the King of Thanjavur returned the 12,000 Sinhalese prisoners, and in addition surrendered double the number of Tamils as prisoners. The Chola king complied, and Gajabahu returned with success, bringing back with him the Buddha's bowl that was taken away by the Tamils during the time of King Valagamba” Story of Lanka by L.E Blaze 2023 Gaja-Bahu saw that it would not do to let the Tamils go unpunished and he made preparations for war. When he was quite ready, he went over to South India with his famous general, Nila, and a large army, and so thoroughly frightened the Tamil king there, that not only were the twelve thousand Sinhalese prisoners released, but an equal number of Tamil prisoners were brought over to Lanka. These Tamils were placed in various parts of the Kandy, Colombo and Kurunegala districts--in the Alutkuru Korale, Tumpane, Harispattu, etc.The king brought back also the eating-bowl of the Buddha, which had been taken away in Valagam Bahus time, and a great quantity of jewels and other plunder. An unusual event is believed to have taken place during the reign of King Vankanasika Tissa (110 A.D.). A Chola King Karikala is said to have invaded Lanka with an army and taken away treasure and 12,000 Sinhalese as prisoners. 25 The Sinhalese by Nandadewa Wijesekara 2016 .”If they were captives then a battle would have taken place and the spoils of victory were the captives. But if they had been taken away by force then they have to be recognized as kidnapped persons. They could have been hired to work on irrigation projects in the Kaveri Valley in Chola country. “An unusual event is believed to have taken place during the reign of King Vankanasika Tissa (110 A.D.). TeenX808 (talk) 12:52, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Source by Anton Sebastian, the Author is a doctor by academic and profession. L.E Blaze authored book in 1900. Who is the author of this source, "Sinhalayo 2012 pg11"? RangersRus (talk) 16:40, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: Anton Sebastian is a historian according to the description and LE blazes book was revised and published in 2023 and the author of Sinhalayo is Senarath Paranavitana, can you also check the content of the sources to determine if the point by historians aren’t mislead. TeenX808 (talk) 17:08, 16 October 2025 (UTC) What description? RangersRus (talk) 17:26, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: sorry my mistake it says he’s an avid historian but his book can be used as a secondary source since the info which he said is mentioned by other historians in their books. TeenX808 (talk) 17:34, 16 October 2025 (UTC) No his source can not be used. RangersRus (talk) 17:37, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: okay you can check the rest and its content. TeenX808 (talk) 17:41, 16 October 2025 (UTC) See this. He is a doctor by profession RangersRus (talk) 17:28, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Any modern era source? RangersRus (talk) 17:32, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: I have provided some including with revisions and all of them except one dates to 2000s. TeenX808 (talk) 17:36, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Has L.E Blaze been cited by any historians you are aware of? RangersRus (talk) 17:39, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: I will have to check to let you know but can’t his source be used since the point he has pointed out tallies with other historians ? TeenX808 (talk) 17:50, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: can this be used https://www.researchgate.net/publication/396507750_King_Gajabahu_I_112_-_134_CE_and_His_Role_in_the_Anuradhapura_Kingdom_Epigraphic_Evidence_and_the_Promotion_of_Buddhism the person who wrote it is a historian. TeenX808 (talk) 18:06, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @TeenX808@RangersRus"repeating the same thing when it’s proven wrong " it's you who is repeating and misinterpreting my sources. Yes Obeyesekare is an anthropologist and his statement and findings regarding this invasion is very important as he proved this invasion is based on Myth and legend. He clearly said this event is based on Myth and legend. Anyone other than you can understand this. He clearly said entire episode of Gajabahu in later chronicles is based on Myth not some events. Second source declining this invasion by saying whole account was added later. He also said that in 13th century account they said people were going to kaveri for service but later 16 and 17 th century account they made it as Chola invasion. If you read his entire statement, you can understand he declined this invasion. fourth source has clearly addressed this invasion as legend. It has full stop before medieval account that shows that medieval account is legend and also proves 16 and 17 th century account developed the Chola invasion and he said there is no chola invasion mentioned in 13 century account. It shows they keep on adding myths and legends.so fourth source proves this invasion as myth or legend. If you have someone who understands English can help you how this source shows this is legend. So 1 to 5 proves this invasion as myth. ""7-12 You are pretty much contradicting yourself as what you said in the last discussion “ The fact that certain books may have overlooked it doesn't mean they disagree with the established historical narrative”"" Nope they are different events. Timeline is different. Here this invasion is mentioned after 1000 years and chronicles which were written closely related to the period skipped the invasion. For that Parantaka 2 event , we have evidence during the king reign. So I am not contradicting and they are different events. Now coming to the historians who said this might happened. First of all most of your sources are old. Their writings are based on later chronicles. They haven't convincingly explained why Chola and early chronicles skipped this invasion. They have not disproved the Obeyesekare points on this invasion who proved this invasion as myth. Title and content needs to be modified. Ranithraj (talk) 07:29, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Source by Cordington is unreliable and old. Source, The Early History Of Ceylon by Mendis. G.C. was a thesis he wrote for his Ph.D. in 1931. This is ok as source but would have been better if any modern sources you could have provided. Source, De Silva, Sanath; Siriweera, W. I. (2017). Warfare in Srilanka: Military History of The Island from Earliest Times upto Independence (1st ed.), can you show if these authors are scholars in related field by profession? RangersRus (talk) 16:58, 16 October 2025 (UTC) This source, Sri Lanka : a history by De Silva, Chandra Richard, is fine. RangersRus (talk) 17:03, 16 October 2025 (UTC) ok Ranithraj (talk) 17:17, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Siriweera W.I is a historian. You can find about him through the below link. https://www.sundaytimes.lk/130929/plus/succinct-accounts-of-a-vast-historical-canvas-63676.html Sanath De Silva is HOD. This is his profile. https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=8k2KFdIAAAAJ&hl=en Cordington book was revised and published in 1994. Can I also add the sources which ignored this event but covering all other events? Ranithraj (talk) 17:16, 16 October 2025 (UTC) W. I. Siriweera source is fine but not Cordington. RangersRus (talk) 17:53, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Can you tell me why not Cordington?,while his book is cited by others Ranithraj (talk) 17:58, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Any author who was British colonial financial administrator, is unreliable. RangersRus (talk) 18:14, 16 October 2025 (UTC) When you say ignored the event, you mean there is no mention at all? If so, it doesn't matter. We just have to go by sources that provide significant coverage about the event and has to be by academic scholars. RangersRus (talk) 17:56, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Ok got it Ranithraj (talk) 17:58, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus new modern era source Lanka, the land of kings by Disanayaka, J. B 2007 pg 178 to 179 GAJA BAHU I, THE MYTHICAL HERO (114-136 AD) The island kingdom had two kings by the name of Gaja Ba:hu, which meant literally, 'the one who had shoulders (ba:hu) like that of an elephant (gaja). The first of them, King Gaja-ba:hu I was also called Gaja-ba:huka Ga:mani. He was a king around whom many myths and legends have grown. Some of them have found their way to the chronicles like Raja:valiya. First, he is remembered as a king who terrorized the Co:la king who had invaded this kingdom during the reign of his father. The Co:la king had taken 12,000 Sinhalese as captives to India. Gaja Bashu went to India, not with an army but with one man, a giant called Ni:la, Ranithraj (talk) 18:31, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus it is mentioned that he went alone not with army. How could be it possible? Also the author said the myth found it's way into the later chronicles Ranithraj (talk) 18:34, 16 October 2025 (UTC) @RangersRusCan you comment on this source? Based on all the available evidences could you Change the title of the draft by adding myth or legend before? Ranithraj (talk) 21:17, 16 December 2025 (UTC) Source is fine. Evidence is mix of both myth and non-myth. I have told the other editor to rewrite whole article adding claims by historians who call it myth and who call it real. Only reliable sources by historians or in related field should be used. RangersRus (talk) 11:37, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
One Simple Trick - Lovejoy Draft
[edit]Hi,
I have found two reviews for the draft for Lovejoy's One Simple Trick, but I have to have feedback on whether these are okay to use or not.
Please let me in on your thoughts whenever you can. Thank you in advance.

Loyola Phonenix review is by a second year student and not from some professional music critic. The Totalntertainment has no editor and owner insight. This sight, anyone can pay to publish their review. Its poor source. RangersRus (talk) 07:46, 16 October 2025 (UTC) Ok, I found this one:https://www.sentireascoltare.com/album/lovejoy-one-simple-trick/ It’s in Italian, though I can translate it, and they review it very well, but I’m still not sure about it. Would this cover it well? Edit: It's been a while since I asked, have you looked over this yet? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jibblesnark86 (talk • contribs) 00:21, 20 December 2025 (UTC) Jibblesnark86 (talk) 08:21, 19 October 2025 (UTC) Sentireascoltare is a Italian music blog by Orazio Sturniolo and the staff are bunch of people who have joined and contribute to the blog. Orazio is not a professional music critic or a member of the well known music critic association. He is a photographer and filmmaker by profession according to what he claims himself. So this is not a good source. RangersRus (talk) 16:42, 20 December 2025 (UTC) Got it. This draft article is probably WP:TOOSOON anyway, as a AfC reviewer who reviewed it told me a while back. So I think I'll hold off for now (or indefinitely). But thank you anyway. Jibblesnark86 (talk) 20:43, 20 December 2025 (UTC)December 2025 administrator elections - schedule

Request For Review: List of Street Fighter Grand Slam champions
[edit]Hello, I hope you can take a look at the article List of Street Fighter Grand Slam champions. This article is very strange. It lists several tournaments and provides some sources to cite the tournaments themselves. However, none of the sources in the article mention the concept of a “Grand Slam.” I have also searched online extensively and could not find any reference to a so-called Street Fighter Grand Slam. All the sources in the article only mention the tournaments listed in the article—they do not mention a Grand Slam at all. The article itself also does not explain how the “Street Fighter Grand Slam” was established or why these particular tournaments are considered part of it. Most importantly, the prize differences among the four tournaments mentioned are huge: EVO and EVO Japan only have prize pools of around $30,000–$40,000, while Capcom Cup has over $1,000,000 in prize money. It is hard to believe that these tournaments would be grouped together as a “Grand Slam.” Moreover, for EVO alone, there is EVO, EVO Japan, EVO France, and EVO Singapore, making it difficult to understand why only EVO Japan is considered a Grand Slam while EVO France and EVO Singapore are not. Additionally, EVO is now linked with Capcom Cup and the Esports World Cup, where the champion can qualify for Capcom Cup and Esports World Cup, which makes EVO feel more like a qualifier for Capcom Cup and Esports World Cup rather than a tournament of the same level. Since none of the sources cited in the article mention the concept of a “Grand Slam,” the article seems more like the author’s own selection of what they subjectively consider to be a Grand Slam. Since the article is clearly misleading, I think it could be considered for deletion or at least for revising its title and content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by YuelinLee1959 (talk • contribs) 08:37, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Administrator Elections - Call for Candidates
[edit]The administrator elections process has officially started! Interested editors are encouraged to self-nominate or arrange to be nominated by reviewing the instructions at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Candidates.
Here is the schedule:
- November 25 – December 1 - Call for candidates
- December 4–8 - Discussion phase
- December 9–15 - SecurePoll voting phase
Please note the following:
- The requirements to run are identical to RFA—a prospective candidate must be extended confirmed.
- Prospective candidates are advised to become familiar with the community's expectations of administrators, which are much higher than the minimum requirement of having extended confirmed status. This includes reviewing successful and unsuccessful RFAs, reading the essay Wikipedia:Advice for admin elections candidates, and possibly requesting an optional poll on their chances of passing.
- The process will have a seven day call for candidates phase, a two day pause, a five day discussion phase, and a seven day private vote using SecurePoll. Discussion and questions are only allowed on the candidate pages during the discussion phase.
- The outcome of this process is identical to making a request for adminship. There is no official difference between an administrator appointed through RFA versus administrator elections.
- Administrator elections are also a valid means of regaining adminship for de-sysopped editors.
Ask any questions about the process at the talk page. Later, a user talk message will be sent to official candidates with additional information about the process.
If you are interested in the process, please make sure to watchlist the appropriate pages. A watchlist notice will be added when the discussion phase opens, and again when the voting phase opens.

Regarding my rejected article
[edit]Hello, could you please elaborate on why the specific Index.hr and Sportske Novosti articles i cited in Draft:Noa Mikić do not demonstrate notability of the subject? According to guides that I have seen none of these should be the issue: unreliable sources, sources being connected to the subject, adding citations to sources that merely mention the topic (as both the articles are fully about the topic). Is the problem simply in depth of information about the subject in those articles and/or the quantity of independent articles about the subject not being enough as of now? This would be useful to know for future article creation as well. Ptrnc7965 (talk) 14:02, 3 December 2025 (UTC)
All there is stats and no significant coverage in multiple reliable sources on the Athlete to consider notability. Also has he won a award or led the team in some major international tournament is something that can also be considered for notability. RangersRus (talk) 15:36, 4 December 2025 (UTC) Hello, I'm wondering if you can briefly look at this to tell me if it's worth resubmitting. I have updated the "Club career" section, which now contains these independent sources covering Noa Mikić, which may be relevant to addressing the notability problem mentioned in the last message: [3] [4][5] . (especially the tportal.hr article at number 3) Is this good enough? Thank you for your time. Ptrnc7965 (talk) 18:07, 8 December 2025 (UTC)Administrator Elections - Discussion Phase
[edit]The discussion phase of the December 2025 administrator elections is officially open. As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
- Dec 4–8 - Discussion phase (we are here)
- Dec 9–15 - SecurePoll voting phase
- Scrutineering phase
We are currently in the discussion phase. The candidate subpages are open to questions and comments from everyone, in the same style as a request for adminship. You may discuss the candidates at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Discussion phase.
On December 9, we will start the voting phase. The candidate subpages will close to public questions and discussion, and everyone will have a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's totals during the election. You must be extended confirmed to vote.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which typically lasts between a couple days and a week. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (you may want to watchlist this page) and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a candidate who has not been recalled must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and must also have received a minimum of 20 support votes. A candidate that has been recalled must have at least 55.0% support. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").
Any questions or issues can be asked on the election talk page. Thank you for your participation. Happy electing.

Administrator Elections - Voting Phase
[edit]The voting phase of the December 2025 administrator elections has started and will continue until Dec 15 at 23:59 UTC. You can participate in the voting phase at Wikipedia:Administrator elections/December 2025/Voting phase.
As a reminder, the schedule of the election is:
- Dec 9–15 - SecurePoll voting phase
- Scrutineering phase
In the voting phase, the candidate subpages close to public questions and discussion, and everyone who qualifies to vote has a week to use the SecurePoll software to vote, which uses a secret ballot. You can see who voted, but not who they voted for. Please note that the vote totals cannot be made public until after voting has ended and as such, it will not be possible for you to see an individual candidate's vote total during the election. The suffrage requirements are similar to those at RFA.
Once voting concludes, we will begin the scrutineering phase, which will last for a few days, perhaps longer. Once everything is certified, the results will be posted on the results page (this is a good page to watchlist), and transcluded to the main election page. In order to be granted adminship, a non-recall candidate must have received at least 70.0% support, calculated as Support / (Support + Oppose), and a minimum of 20 support votes. Recall candidates must achieve 55.0% support. Because this is a vote and not a consensus, there are no bureaucrat discussions ("crat chats").

Review inquiry: Draft:All That She Wants (2026 film)
[edit]Hello RangersRus, I noticed you recently reviewed Draft:All That She Wants (2026 film). I appreciate your time in clearing the backlog! I am hoping for a quick clarification on the notability assessment. The draft was declined for lack of significant coverage, but it currently cites: * Deadline Hollywood (Grobar, Nov 5): A full article detailing the cast and project. * Nexus Point News (Koc, Sep 9): An independent report breaking the casting news months prior. * Weintraub Tobin & FTIA: Specific confirmation of principal photography dates (Sept–Nov 2025) and wrap status. Per WP:NFF, films that have completed principal photography are generally suitable for inclusion if they have independent coverage. Since production is confirmed wrapped and major trades (Deadline) have covered the project, could you advise what specific additional sourcing is needed? I want to ensure I meet the standard before resubmitting. Thanks for the help. Twinbros04 (talk) 20:01, 12 December 2025 (UTC)
No significant coverage for the film to pass notability as per WP:NFILM. When is the release date? This is also case of WP:TOOSOON. So its better to wait till close of release date for significant coverage in reliable independent sources. Or better to wait till release when multiple critical reviews can be added. RangersRus (talk) 01:14, 15 December 2025 (UTC)This is my 3rd time asking for a resolution regarding this draft
[edit]@RangersRus: Draft:Anuradhapura invasion of Chola Kingdom (114-136)
In the last discussion you said that you would check the sources and let me know and its been almost two months and still no answer and clearly the sources which i provided show the historical accuracy of the event and i hope i get a resolution regarding the draft. Thanks TeenX808 (talk) 10:34, 13 December 2025 (UTC)
From the discussion we had, remove all unreliable sources and its content. Only use reliable sources by actual academics who are historians and modern era sources. Please rewrite article with neutrality as per what each historians say about the incident as real and myth. RangersRus (talk) 01:06, 15 December 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: i will update it and let you know, should the last section be removed which gives a overview of all historians and their thoughts on the event. Thanks TeenX808 (talk) 20:51, 15 December 2025 (UTC) @RangersRus: Hi i couldn't start the article because i was busy, I have mentioned in the places which are exaggerated should i remove the legacy info and add which info are directly mythical ? Almost every single author is a historian and says similar info to the rest. If all the problems are fixed shall i resubmit. TeenX808 (talk) 04:36, 23 January 2026 (UTC) There was more to this discussion that we talked about and you have not addressed it. Please see what I said last. RangersRus (talk) 10:55, 24 January 2026 (UTC) @RangersRus: You asked me to remove the mythical elements and i did plus added a source also mentioned how some historians consider the event exaggerated. The reason you might think more should be removed is the mention of the giant which was never included in the article and for some reason brought up in the discussion. if i missed something please can you point out and i will do the change. Thanks TeenX808 (talk) 19:11, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
Hello! I don't mean to be a pain, but having looked at the centuries-established Dorset Echo's page on here it hardly has any citations, so I can't see what I'm doing wrong here - I've added lots of citations which back up the facts as written. We've been going just under four years, so I think our citations are pretty impressive! Evidently though, I'm doing something wrong. Here's the Echo link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dorset_Echo
Miranda Robertson (talk) 13:00, 17 December 2025 (UTC)
Miranda Robertson. Hello. You are welcome to bring up any concern or question you have and I will do my best to address it. Dorset Echo is a bad example to follow and that page has simply went unnoticed and won't be surprised if its makes to the deletion list. Contrary, your article is much better but lots of information is missing to consider it notable and publish it as of yet. Here is a good example of what I would like your article to look like. Woman's Home Companion. You will need to add some background, history, notable publications, lists all award and achievements and everything should be backed by reliable sources. Sources that are blogs and not independent of the subject is a no no. Most awards you mentioned were notable except for one The West Dorset Magazine has been named overall winner at the West Dorset Gold awards. You may ask why and like I stated not independent, this award seems to given by same organization that the magazine is associated with. Awards have to be independent of the organization. I hope this gives you some idea and help to improve your draft. You are always welcome to bring any more question you have and if you would like me to review again after you have updated the draft, please ping me and I would take a look. RangersRus (talk) 18:56, 18 December 2025 (UTC) Hi again. Thanks for the feedback. The West Dorset Gold business awards are entirely independent of the magazine - West Dorset is an area and thus those two words are on a lot of events! Sadly, we don't have a long history like the Women's Home Companion, and I wouldn't be happy padding out our history with subjective stuff, much as I could, given I'm a journalist! I'd like our listing to be short and to the point - a stub, really. The blog I've cited because the Political Cartoon of the Year winners from 2022 have now gone from the Elwood Atfield website, so this is the only outside page referencing the Tenniel Cup win. There were a few stories published on our own website, but I haven't included those. So it looks like I might have to give up! Miranda Robertson (talk) 19:36, 18 December 2025 (UTC)Subject: Request for Reconsideration of Draft:Lauren Warhol Caldwell – Meets Notability Guidelines
[edit]Dear RangerRus,
Thank you for your time in reviewing my draft article on Lauren Warhol Caldwell. I appreciate the volunteer work you do to maintain Wikipedia's standards. However, I was surprised by the rapid decline (under a minute), as it seems the draft's sources and Caldwell's qualifications under WP:BIO and WP:CREATIVE may not have been fully assessed. I respectfully request a second look, as I believe she clearly meets the notability threshold. Wikipedia's guidelines have tightened over the years, making it more challenging for subjects with deep but localized impact—like long-term leaders in regional arts—to gain entry compared to earlier eras, but Caldwell's career aligns with the criteria for notable creative professionals and educators.
Here are the specific ways Caldwell qualifies:
- Significant Role in a Notable Organization (WP:CREATIVE Criterion 1 and WP:ANYBIO): Caldwell served as the artistic director of the Hippodrome Theatre in Gainesville, Florida, from 1993 to 2019—a 26-year tenure at a nationally recognized Actors' Equity Association (AEA) regional theatre. The Hippodrome itself is notable enough to have its own Wikipedia article ([[Hippodrome Theatre (Gainesville)]]), and as its signature director, Caldwell oversaw more than 100 mainstage productions, initiating key partnerships like the one with the University of Florida School of Theatre and Dance. This role is analogous to other notable theatre directors (e.g., those at regional houses like the Oregon Shakespeare Festival or Steppenwolf Theatre) who qualify based on leadership in established institutions. Reliable sources, including the Gainesville Sun and Gainesville Downtown, document her impact independently.
- Received a Well-Known Award (WP:ANYBIO Criterion 1): In 2017, Caldwell was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in professional theater by the Florida Professional Theatres Association (FPTA) at the Florida Theater Conference. This is a prestigious statewide honor in the theatre community, comparable to other regional awards that have supported notability for similar figures (e.g., awards from state arts councils or professional associations). The award is covered in independent sources like Gainesville Downtown, confirming its significance.
- Multiple Independent, Reliable Sources with Significant Coverage (WP:GNG): The draft includes substantial coverage from reliable, independent sources beyond brief mentions or self-published material. For example:
- The Gainesville Sun (a Gannett-owned newspaper) featured in-depth profiles on her departure from the Hippodrome ("Act Three" and "Hippodrome loses longtime artistic director"), discussing her career trajectory, contributions, and personal background.
- The Independent Florida Alligator (university newspaper) provided biographical details on her time at the theatre.
- WUFT (NPR affiliate) covered her all-female adaptation of Frankenstein, highlighting her innovative directing.
- Additional sources like AboutTheArtists and LinkedIn corroborate her credits, but the core notability rests on the press coverage. These are not routine announcements but substantive articles focusing on Caldwell as the primary subject, meeting the "significant coverage" requirement. While much is local, Wikipedia allows regional sources for regionally notable figures, especially in arts where impact is often localized (e.g., WP:LOCAL vs. WP:GLOBAL).
- Educational and Early Career Contributions (Supporting WP:BIO): Caldwell has been an educator since the 1970s, serving as an adjunct professor at the University of Florida School of Theatre + Dance, where she directed productions like The Importance of Being Earnest. Her early career as Liza Minnelli's assistant in New York (1970s–1980s) and her connection to Andy Warhol (from whom she adopted her middle name) add cultural significance, sourced from the Gainesville Sun. While these are not the sole basis for notability, they bolster her profile as a multifaceted creative professional with national ties, similar to other Wikipedia subjects in theatre education.
In summary, Caldwell's long-term leadership at a notable equity theatre, statewide award, and multiple independent sources provide the "presumption of notability" under WP:CREATIVE and WP:GNG. I understand the need to avoid promotional content, but this draft is neutral, fact-based, and sourced to reliable publications. If the concern is source depth or independence, I'd be happy to expand with additional references or revisions.
Could you please reconsider or advise on specific improvements? I'd love to work toward approval.
Thank you again for your time and dedication to Wikipedia.
Best regards,
Jerry Fine ~2025-34986-42 (talk) 16:42, 22 December 2025 (UTC)

Regarding Cherie Lily
[edit]Regarding your rejection of Cherie Lily
Thank you for reviewing the article, but I have a few problems with your assesment.
First, I was already engaged in a back-and-forth with @SportingFlyer and was going to respond to their inquiry with some listed out citations, I just needed more time to do so.
More importantly, your assessment that most of the sources involve her work with Drag Race artists is, bluntly, erroneous. Far and a way, that characterizes a small minority of the sources. Of the 71 citations, this is how they break down:
Sources about Cherie Lily, on or her solo music or overall career/biographical (by and large don't mention Drag Race) - 34
Work with Andrew WK/Lee Scratch Perry/To Live and Shave in LA(NOT DRAG RACE ARTISTS) - 8
Significant TV appearances (not including Andrew WK) - 7
Lily's work work with Cazwell (NOT AFFILIATED WITH DRAG RACE) - 4
Other secondary sources that mention Lily but don't focus on her solely (Lists of "Ballroom Anthems" or "Hot Tracks", cameo appearance etc) - 5
Articles about her role with Voss Events artist management/RuPaul's Drag Race - 4
Work with Kevin Aviance (NOT a Drag Race artist) - 3
Additional mentions of Lily/Lily's work with Amanda Lepore (NOT a Drag Race artist) -3
Articles about her production for Yvie Oddly (Drag Race winner, but the articles aren't about drag race) - 3 (2 Yvie Oddly videos listing CL as producer, one Entertainment Weekly Feature about the song)
So generously we're talking about 7 sources out of the 71. Hardly the majority. In fact nearly half of them are articles about Cherie Lily specifically, not including her 7 significant TV show appearances.
My draft makes her involvement in LGTBQ culture explicit in a few places. You seem to be construing every artist in this category as directly related to RuPaul's Drag Race. That is not the case, in fact, I addressed this in my Talk section post, which I called out in the comments.
Music and LGBTQ culture are both deep and expansive areas of knowledge. I understand that not everyone is as familiar with these areas as I am but I am trying my best to help the reviewers along. FogleMorplethorpe (talk) 15:13, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
Maybe I didn't make myself clear with my comment. From all the sources on the page, most mention and maybe some notable work was for Ru Paul show. Everything else you mentioned about, I do not see them as any Substantial achievement noteworthy. What i would recommend is that while the page is in decline state, please make improvements with sources that speaks out loud on her achievements, awards, any song on national or international chart and so. Then resubmit the draft for review and likely me or some other reviewer will take a look at again. RangersRus (talk) 17:41, 29 January 2026 (UTC) I appreciate your response, but this is also incorrect. In fact, she never worked for Rupaul's Drag Race apart from her musical production work for the Werq the World tour (which is cited although not direclty mentioned in my draft). Apart from that, the connection to Drag Race is due to her being an employee of Voss Events and the founder of a label called Chervana. These businesses serve clients, a number of whom are RuPaul's Drag Race performers, but whose notoriety extends beyond the show as discussed in their respective Wikipedia articles. (Virtually every contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race is a notable drag performer prior to their participation in the show; yes for many of them it's the most notorious thing they have done and helps their careers, but it is not as if all of their notorious contributions stem from their connection to it. It is incorrect to suggest that work done by these artists' record labels or management on behalf of these artists should construed as directly for or officially associated with Rupaul's Drag Race. That is far from the case.) As I noted in my first comment, the vast majority of secondary reliable sources cited, and I have cited many, are coverage of Cherie Lily and her contributions to fitness, her proprietary music career, or her high-profile collaborations/production work with artists OUTSIDE of RuPaul's Drag Race. Some of these are even accolades such as creating a "Ballroom Anthem" (Resident Advisor) or one of "2015's Hottest Dance Beat." There are extensive articles covering her music, including a track premier by TimeOut Magazine. She is mentioned by a Brown University scholar as "an icon of the gay scene". She is a featured guest on several television shows as a named/headlining guest. She performed around the world, including on Conan Obrien's show on TBS, with Andrew W.K. The Lee "Scratch" Perry album that she sang and contributed percussion on was nominated for a Grammy and covered widely in the music press, including the video documentary that Cherie Lily is in. Her music videos have racked up millions of views across services. She had a "Need To Know" feature in one of the country's top LGBTQ magazines. IMPORTANT: NEARLY ALL of these accolades and achievements came BEFORE her employment with Voss which is the company hired by many of the Drag Race contestants -- which didn't start until 2019. In 2025, she started the Chervana label, and the first album they have released, Kevin Aviance's (again - no association with RuPaul's Drag Race) HIPPOPOTAMUS, has received much coverage including a Billboard Magazine feature that delves deep into Lily's role in creating the music. Contrary to your claim, the vast majority of my citations simply do not mention Voss OR RuPaul's Drag Race. I have done my best to follow the recommendations of other reviewers, and was in the middle of addressing the concerns of @SportingFlyer when you rejected me on completely separate grounds. At this point, the goalpost has been moved a number of times. FogleMorplethorpe (talk) 18:12, 29 January 2026 (UTC) Apart from that, the connection to Drag Race is due to her being an employee of Voss Events and the founder of a label called Chervana. This is what I meant about her association or connection with Ru Paul Drag Race. When AFC draft is open for review, any AFC reviewer can jump to review it and won't be aware who you have been working with. So if you are working with someone, great, plus use the suggestions I recommended as well to resubmit for review. RangersRus (talk) 19:16, 29 January 2026 (UTC) Thank you, but the draft already spells all of this out in the "Business roles" section at the bottom of the draft, and all of that information is supported with citations.- The summary bio mentions that she managed "the careers of Drag Race contestants", not that she worked for Drag Race. The topic of her business roles connected to Rupaul's Drag Race are connected to 7 of the 71 citations.
- The other citations demonstrate notable contributions in other areas of entertainment - as a musician, as a producer/songwriter, as a performer, and as a celebrity trainer. The business role at Voss for the Drag Race contestants, while it is discussed in 7 citations, is not nearly as prominent as the other contributions.
- The 34 articles about Cherie or her music, the 7 highly visible TV appearances, and many articles discussing her collaborations or production work, by and large are not connected to Drag Race/Voss, and the vast majority of them were published prior to her working with Voss or founding Chervana in 2025.
Draft:Mushtaaq Ali Cheema is probably notable
[edit]I saw that you declined Draft:Mushtaaq Ali Cheema. Just a reminder about WP:NPOLITICIAN: members of a national or subnational parliament are automatically notable. Eastmain (talk • contribs) 23:51, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
Agree, I needed to see reliable sources with coverage to prove so. Looks good after creator made changes and accepted the article. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:20, 1 February 2026 (UTC)Draft:No Packers No Life is probably notable
[edit]I saw that you declined Draft:No Packers No Life. This documentary film appears to be notable, as it was extensively covered by national media outlets, with citations provided. The film was also released in theaters and appears to meet Wikipedia’s notability guidelines for films (WP:NFF).Yalzorneem (talk) 14:09, 31 January 2026 (UTC)
what professional critics have reviewed the film? I asked you to add professional critical reviews. Needs to be 2 or more. RangersRus (talk) 14:14, 31 January 2026 (UTC) Removed the reception/critical response section.Yalzorneem (talk) 16:34, 31 January 2026 (UTC)Hi, can you review this draft, film released. ~2026-69855-4 (talk) 14:52, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
Looks good with multiple critical reviews. RangersRus (talk) 15:02, 1 February 2026 (UTC)You declined Draft:Zamana as -exists-. Did you check what was at the title Zamana? Zamana is a disambiguation page. If a draft has the same name as a disambiguation page, then the draft should be disambiguated rather than declined. The disambiguated draft can then be accepted if it passes notability and verifiability, or declined for any of the usual reasons, mainly notability and verifiability. I have reverted your decline. However, I see that you have now accepted Zamana (2026 film), which is the correct disambiguation. So I will decline Draft:Zamana again, but will refer to the disambiguated title.
If a draft has the same title as a disambiguation page, the draft should be disambiguated (unless it obviously needs to be declined or rejected without determining what the title should be). Robert McClenon (talk) 20:18, 1 February 2026 (UTC)
Maybe I should have added comment that the page Zamana (2026 film) already exists and the draft is a duplicate of that page. RangersRus (talk) 22:00, 1 February 2026 (UTC)Why is Nora El-Bahty considered not notable?
[edit]If Shamima Begum is notable, and Aqsa Mahmood is notable, how is Nora El-Bahty not? Her disappearance made headlines internationally and there was a criminal trial, and an appeal, in France for the people who helped her get to Syria. Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 16:39, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
The coverage on Shamima Begum and Aqsa Mahmood is significant as compared to Nora but I see that the draft was a duplicate of an already existing page. So you don't need the draft anymore and work on improving the existing page to avoid getting nominated for WP:AFD. RangersRus (talk) 15:36, 3 February 2026 (UTC) Nora is probably the best-known French woman (girl) to have joined the Syrian civil war and she got significant coverage. As much coverage as Aqsa in my opinion, not just in France but internationally. Look at the articles about her I used as sources. She is notable. Certainly more notable than, say, Sophie Kasiki, who also has her own entry and has for years. Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 15:38, 3 February 2026 (UTC) Nora’s disappearance was covered by AP News and the Guardian as well as French media. Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 15:41, 3 February 2026 (UTC) And by Arab media. And by CNN. So coverage in France, the US, the UK, and the Middle East. How is this not notable enough? Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 15:42, 3 February 2026 (UTC) Please do not compare your page to other existing pages. Just because other pages exist, does not really mean they are notable or have no flaws. Its just that no one had time to go through and review the content and sources in detail. All I ask of you is to avoid the draft since Nora page already exists and improve the existing page with as much significant coverage you can find. By the way please share the link here about coverage by US and UK. RangersRus (talk) 16:02, 3 February 2026 (UTC) They are all linked on Nora's existing page, in the sources. https://apnews.com/general-news-5359be2db6df4190b70567db5bf1a0fe https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/sep/29/schoolgirl-jihadis-female-islamists-leaving-home-join-isis-iraq-syria https://www.cnn.com/2016/08/09/europe/france-super-jihadist-omar-omsen She was also covered in Canada: https://calgary.citynews.ca/2014/10/10/the-story-of-2-schoolgirls-islamic-extremists-build-networks-to-lure-young-women-to-jihad/ Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 16:08, 3 February 2026 (UTC) So by US and UK, you actually meant CNN and Guardian. RangersRus (talk) 16:10, 3 February 2026 (UTC) Are those not American and British media companies? Muffinbutt1985 (talk) 16:11, 3 February 2026 (UTC) yes these are good. So Nora El-Bahty already exists. So anymore changes you need to make, you will have to make it here. No need for draft. RangersRus (talk) 16:14, 3 February 2026 (UTC) Ok thank you. I only started creating my own Wikipedia entries last autumn so I'm very new to this and appreciate the guidance. [edit]A tag has been placed on Regional Leagues (Morocco) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Regarding for the Draft:Ayeyawady W.F.C
[edit]Hi RangersRus, thanks for the feedback.
I've updated the draft to show why the club is notable beyond routine news. I added info about the owner (U Moe Aung Chaw) and our sports science partnership. Most importantly, this is the first women's club in Myanmar to sign foreign players (Kirara Ogawa from Japan and Alyssa Ube from the Philippines), a milestone covered by the ASEAN Football Federation. I believe this international coverage and the club's unique history now meet the notability standards. Could you please take another look? Thank you! ZyTun (talk) 03:51, 4 February 2026 (UTC)

Declining of a Draft (Moosa Mostafa)
[edit]Hello,
Thank you for your review, even if it was declined. I would like to have more information about why it was declined so as to make it better next time. Is it that the sources I have used aren't reliable for Wikipedia or is it that it's just passing mentions? Also, I would like to know what advice you could give me to get more chances to get my article published (in the measure of possible) please.
Thank you for your time,
Maëlyshouin. Maëlyshouin (talk) 09:28, 5 February 2026 (UTC)
Why the draft has been declining is because the child actor is not notable as per Wikipedia WP:NACTOR criteria. The child actor only had supporting role in one notable show "Wednesday". So actor needs to have a major role like lead in 2 or more notable films to pass notability where the coverage is significant in well known sources. RangersRus (talk) 13:37, 5 February 2026 (UTC) Thank you for your answer @RangersRus, I appreciate your feedback. Thank you for the specificity of it too, I'll try again when he'll reach the criteria. Have a nice day! Maëlyshouin Maëlyshouin (talk) 10:12, 6 February 2026 (UTC) Hello @RangersRus, I'm really sorry to bother your more, but the list of Wednesday characters (List of Wednesday characters) says that Eugene Ottinger (actor: Moosa Mostafa), is a main role in both seasons. Does that count as one major role? Or is it put wrongly as a main role or is it simply not main as in main/important role? Thank you for your pacience. Maëlyshouin (talk) 11:46, 6 February 2026 (UTC) Other Wikipedia references are not considered reliable as they are edited by anyone. If the actor who played Eugene Ottinger got significant coverage like critical review on their acting or performance in Wednesday, then it can be considered notable role. Still, this will just be considered one. The actor needs one more major role to pass notability as an actor on Wikipedia. Hope this helps. RangersRus (talk) 14:31, 6 February 2026 (UTC) Okay, thank you so much for clarifying that! Maëlyshouin (talk) 14:36, 7 February 2026 (UTC)Help with Draft:Bobby Kunhu
[edit]Hi RangersRus, thank you for reviewing my draft. I am a new editor trying to document a human rights lawyer. I understand I need better sources. I included citations from 'Harvard Human Rights Journal' and 'Human Rights Watch' to show his status as a subject-matter expert (WP:PROF). Could you please let me know if the issue is with the 'Kafila' sources? If I remove the blogs and keep only the academic/news sources, would that meet the standard? Thanks for your guidance. Draft:All'Italia - "Musician"?????
[edit]Hello, I saw you declined the submission of Draft:All'Italia with this motivation:
Declining submission: music - Submission is about a musician or musical work not yet shown to meet notability guidelinesI'd like to point you out some very important things:
- Giacomo Leopardi is not a musician. He is one the most important, if not the most important, Italian poet of 19th century. He's the Italian equivalent to Byron or Yates from a literature standpoint. Stating that he is "a musician not yet meeting notability guidelines" sounds like stating "This article is about a rock song by a certain George Byron who has not yet shown to meet notability guidelines"
- All'Italia is not a song. It's a poetry, not intended at all to be a musical work not to be sung. It's everything but a "musical work"
I understand that you may have been misled by two incorrect terms ("lyric" instead of "poem" and "song" instead of "canzone"), but it seems you did not have a look at the article Giacomo Leopardi, that could have helped you in your evaluation. As a matter of fact, your decline was based on a serious misunderstanding about the argument of the article (one of the most important patriotic poetry in Italian literature, written in a moment when Italy was not yet united as a single Kingdom), and about the notability of the author (which is undoubtable). Leopardi is part of basic education of all Italians. To an Italian reader, your motivation for declining the submission of that Draft sounds totally out of scope. I think that, after fixing the incorrect terms, there are sound reasons for you to seriously reconsider your decision. Thanks. Superspritz (talk) 16:15, 8 February 2026 (UTC)
