Weightlifting at the 1986 Commonwealth Games was the 10th appearance of Weightlifting at the Commonwealth Games. The events were held in Edinburgh, Scotland, from 24 July to 2 August 1986. The competition featured contests in ten weight classes.[1]

The events took place in the Edinburgh Playhouse on Greenside Place.[2]

Australia topped the weightlifting medal table by virtue of winning four gold medals.[3]
