Japan's head of state

[edit]

Or not, as the case may be. Thanks for reverting the removal of the phrase, and its accompanying references. What does "not explicit" mean? Presumably there may be countries with written constitutions in which the phrase "Head of state" occurs, or possibly an obvious direct translation, "Capo di stato" or something perhaps. But the Japanese constitution is unsurprisingly written in Japanese, and it would be astonishing if the English phrase "Head of state" appeared, or even a katakana transcription, ヘッド・オブ・ステート. There might be an obvious direct translation, 国主 or something, but there might not. It seems to me that since the role of the Emperor is clearly described as being the role of a head of state, the arguments are mostly silly. The constitution is a declaration of how things are intended to be, not a form-filling exercise to tell Wikipedia what to put at the top of its article. Well, I don't know; the remover said "see my reasons", but I couldn't see any pointer to them. Imaginatorium (talk) 18:03, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
