[edit]Hello, IapetusCallistus. Thank you for your work on Roland (crater). Dcotos, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

I am not sure how. Can I request someone to do it instead? I just followed the format of Turgis crater. Thanks IapetusCallistus (talk) 13:21, 16 January 2024 (UTC)S/2023 U 1
[edit]Hey, I saw that you uploaded the discovery image of S/2023 U 1 from Carnegie Science. Sorry to say this, but that image doesn't appear to be in public domain since I couldn't find information about its license on Carnegie Science's website. The NASA-PD license you gave it is incorrect because these discovery images have nothing to do with NASA at all; Sheppard is unaffiliated with them. Because of this, it counts as copyvio. Nrco0e (talk) 16:08, 25 February 2024 (UTC)
By the way, next time you upload images, avoid using the webp format because it isn't a standard file format supported in some browsers and programs. Nrco0e (talk) 16:12, 25 February 2024 (UTC) learned something new that Carnegie's and others don't necessarily work with NASA. It's okay, you can delete it. @Nrco0e IapetusCallistus (talk) 17:41, 25 February 2024 (UTC)The image you created hasn't been destroyed
[edit]Presumably the challenge over this image will go to a WP:BRD discussion somewhere (not another editor's talk page) but just fyi, your creation has not been destroyed and you won't have to do it again if the consensus supports its inclusion. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 20:07, 6 November 2024 (UTC)
picture replacement
[edit]Your replacement of the picture on Jupiter could be a nice edit, but for me it kinda feels odd. First I was sticking to the 2014 Hubble image that had the GRS Storm in the smallest size.

[edit]Hi there, your recent edit at Gula (crater) broke the infobox. No big deal, I've fixed it, but please always use Preview.
Also, I removed an unclear half-sentence you added there: "The name was chosen because of the convention that surface". Just wanted to give you a heads up, in case you wanted to complete that. Thanks, Jessicapierce (talk) 16:53, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
I apologize. I copy-pasted the wrong stuff from my Notepad and I deleted it already. I'll get back to it. I'm really sorry IapetusCallistus (talk) 21:10, 28 December 2025 (UTC) No worries, Wikipedia formatting can be very fussy, and I've done far worse. :) Cheers, Jessicapierce (talk) 00:22, 29 December 2025 (UTC)I have sent you a note about a page you started

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]
Hello IapetusCallistus! Your additions to Erichthonius (crater) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license—to request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 14:45, 8 January 2026 (UTC)
Hello. Can you help me understand the rules better? I thought siting the reference is enough to avoid being counted as plagiarism? I accessed the article through my organization/university which is why I thought I am now free to use the information therein when teaching and creating my own journal as long as I site the source, and as long as I don't use every part of the article all at once for my use. Similarly, I did paraphrased the wordings of the source article. Is there a legal way to include the said information in the Wikipedia article? Please give me instructions. IapetusCallistus (talk) 15:05, 8 January 2026 (UTC) Your sources are to be used only as a source of information, not as a source of prose. Content has to be written in your own words and not include any wording from the source material (short properly attributed quotations are allowed, but cannot be used as a substitute for writing your own content). One thing I find that works for me is to read over the source material and then pretend I am verbally describing the topic to a friend in my own words. Stuff should also be presented in a different order where possible. Summarize rather than paraphrase, and don't try to include every single detail. This will typically result in your version being much shorter than the source document. It also helps to have more than one source to draw from. There's some reading material on this topic at Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing and/or have a look at the material at Paraphrase: Write It in Your Own Words; check out the links in the menu on the left for some exercises to try. Or study this module aimed at WikiEd students. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 23:43, 8 January 2026 (UTC)CS1 error on Ninki (crater)

Speedy deletion nomination of Enkidu (Ganymede cater)
[edit]A tag has been placed on Enkidu (Ganymede cater) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a recently created redirect from an implausible typo or misnomer, or other unlikely search term.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. mwwv converse∫edits 13:47, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
The article List of quadrangles on Europa has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence that this is a notable topic.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion based on established criteria.
If the proposed deletion has already been carried out, you may request undeletion of the article at any time. Fram (talk) 08:21, 30 January 2026 (UTC)
