Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Information icon Hello, I'm Joy. An edit that you recently made to Petrolamium seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is usually unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Joy (talk) 15:06, 18 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Satyrium curiosolus. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. lp0 on fire () 14:27, 29 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Savin Kuk moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Savin Kuk. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing as a live article at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted it to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Kingsacrificer (talk) 19:30, 20 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Daniel.fox123! Hi Daniel.fox123. Thank you for your work on Stentorceps weedlei. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

More that one citation should be possible for species; and linking through Wikidata, adding a taxonbar, is also helpful.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Concerning Ogygoptynx

[edit]

I undid your redirecting of Ogygoptynx to Ogygoptyngidae because the latter is already a redirect to Ogygoptynx. Mr Fink (talk) 17:05, 30 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Italics for scientific names

[edit]

Hi! Just a quick note, since I see you've been working on articles linked to Sagrinae today, the only scientific names of animals etc. you need to italicize are species and genera, per MOS:SCIENTIFIC. So in other words, tribes and subfamilies aren't supposed to be italics. Hope this helps, and thanks for contributing! Monster Iestyn (talk) 17:50, 31 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Baetoidea, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gratia and Chane. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:57, 2 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:MONOTYPICFAUNA. There should only be one page for Achras and Achras limbatum. If you feel the page is in the wrong place, please request a page move. Do not turn the existing page into a redirect and start a new page at the target location. William Avery (talk) 15:47, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Kuči Municipality requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
