Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Amino86. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Victoria Institution, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ~ JASWE (talk) 09:36, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. All the information i added are verifiable and well known to Malaysian. You removed mostly well known facts about the school ie Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is indeed an old boy and many more u simply deleted without thinking twice. Amino86 (talk) 15:12, 13 January 2026 (UTC)[reply] Hi Amino86, Wikipedia does not work on "well known facts" but based on reliable sources. If these information are easily verifiable, please provide the sources. Wikipedia caters to a world wide audience, verifiable and well known to Malaysian is not enough. Also, you had not replied whether do you have a COI with the school? Your edits are mostly promotional at this point of time. ~ JASWE (talk) 01:55, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply] Hi, please reply whether do you have any association with the school that might construe a COI? If there is no COI, a simple statement here will do. ~ JASWE (talk) 01:40, 19 January 2026 (UTC)[reply] I do not have any financial or organisational association with Victoria Institution, its alumni, staff, or related bodies. I have no connection that would constitute a conflict of interest (COI). Amino86 (talk) 08:03, 19 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Victoria Institution, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A ISBN error. References show this error when the ISBN value or formatting is invalid. Please edit the article to ensure the value is correct, that only one ISBN is used, that the proper optional separators are used, and that no other text is included. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 04:13, 14 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
