[edit]This template is a wrapper around {{Cite Cyclopaedia 1728}}. In its default mode, it states that unspecified text in the body of a Wikipedia article is from an article in the first edition of the Cyclopædia, or an Universal Dictionary of Arts and Sciences.
This template calls {{Cite Cyclopaedia 1728}} that automatically sets some of the parameters passed, for example "publisher = James and John Knapton, et al". Over and above the standard parameter passed into {{cite encyclopedia}} there are some additional parameters and those are listed below in a separate table from the table of parameters passed into {{cite encyclopedia}}.
