[edit]1st line: Japan is a fictional character?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.106.22.46 (talk • contribs) .
No, it clearly says that Wobbuffet is the fictional character. --Brandon Dilbeck 13:18, 1 July 2007 (UTC)Explanation of names
[edit]It seems weird that the meanings of the Japanese and German names are mentioned, but the French one is not explained at all. Kimchi.sg 22:43, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
- Did the French/German names get edited out? I thought they were notable enough. The German one, at least, is a neat translation. Yo Bub 14:30, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
Deletion of the Picture
[edit]It Seems to me that the picture of the battle between Wobbuffet and Feraligatr is misleading. The Wobbuffet is on lvl 3, meaning that this Wobbuffet was obtained by cheating. This may lead newbies of the Pokemon franchise to thinking you can get a Wobbuffet on lvl 3. This should be replaced with a more accurate picture.D-Terminal 21:22, 11 February 2007
I don't think it much matters. It's not some huge oversight like a bright red Celebi or something. Someone might go and think there's such things as level 3 Wobbuffet, but it's so…insignificant.—ウルタプ 02:28, 12 February 2007 (UTC) Even if it does matter, the numbers can be easily be edited. OrangeAipom 04:14, 23 April 2007 (UTC) It may have not been back then, but in any event, level 3 Wobbuffet are currently possible–eggs now hatch at level 1. It's really a null issue.—Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 04:21, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Wobbuffet´s german Name is WOINGENAU and... is there a spanish name?
wobbuffet's height and weight
[edit]the height and weight should be 3ft 7in because i had the book how to draw pokemon and it stated that wobbuffet was 3ft 7in. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Red1997 (talk • contribs) 22:22, 29 March 2007 (UTC).
The in-game Pokedex says 4'03"OrangeAipom 04:13, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Page request
[edit]Since Wobbuffet is an important character in the anime, do you think there should be a whole page about it since Popplio, Wooloo, and Kadabra can all somehow get pages but not Wobbuffet and other popular pokemon? 2601:98A:201:8C90:0:0:0:F98E (talk) 02:32, 18 May 2022 (UTC)

Lead
[edit]- Why are English and Japanese linked in the infobox? Fixed, I think that was a thing in a borrowed infobox
- Delink "Jessie" as it's piped to Team Rocket which is already linked Fixed
- "as well as various merchandise" I think this is wrong, but I'm not certain Fixed
- Ken Sugimori is linked twice in the infobox Fixed
Concept and creation
[edit]- "in English by Erica Schroeder and Kayzie Rogers" year ranges should be added I can't find year ranges unfortunately
Appearances
[edit]- Meowth is linked twice Fixed
- "Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, and LeafGreen" there should be something to break up R/S/E and FR/LG Fixed
- It should be noted that Wobbuffet returns to Team Rocket in the XY seasons (maybe Aloha too, I don't remember) Added info
- "In the finale episode for Team Rocket" clarify the season to avoid confusion with Black and White Clarified
- "In Go, an outbreak..." it should be noted this was a temporary event
- "like Pikachu and Eevee" why are only those two mentioned? Just figured I'd mention them as the two most noteworthy members of the line
- Link "comic relief" Linked
Reception
[edit]- "have a tank in her team" -> "have a "tank" in her team" also may be worth explaining what a tank is I dropped the terminology to avoid the reception being too long in the tooth
- Link "Pokémon from the second generation" to "List of generation II Pokémon" Linked
- Delink "art" Fixed
References
[edit]- Can you archive ref 26 as tweets are fairly suspectible to link rot I don't normally have to archive tweets, so I'm asking someone else for what they use
- Ref 9 should be "The A.V. Club" Fixed
- Ref 11, 34 "Bleeding Cool" should be linked Fixed
- Ref 11, 34 "GO" -> "Go" per MOS:ALLCAPS Fixed
- Ref 12 has an MOS:DASH violation Fixed
- Ref 28 is improperly showing up as dead Fixed
- Ref 28 should be marked as "subscription needed" Fixed (note, ref 28 and 29 got swapped)
- Ref 36 should be "RPG Site" Fixed
