If anyone can figure out how to get access to these books, that'd be great:
- Chancing the Rapids, My Way, by Datuk Clement Jaikul
- History of North Borneo Police by Abednigo Chow

I have tagged this article for clean up because the lead section has extra information about the naming an history of this police force that should appear in the body of the article. See MOS:LEAD for purpose of the lead. It should provide an accessible overview to the whole article. Information in the lead should be a summary of the information in the body of the article and should not contain additional information that is not mentioned elsewhere in the article. The article is nowhere near finished yet. Instead of adding the hatnote, have you considered expanding the article?

There's a whole section on the Cold War that still needs to be written.

The Matt Salleh years need to be seriously expanded, piracy needs to be expanded, everything needs to be expanded. I know that you are contributing to a better website, and I thank you for it, but I find this hatnote unnecessary. Just expand the article.

It is not a
hatnote, it is a
clean-up tag that flags that the article is not following some aspect of the
Manual of Style; in this case the advice about the
lead section. What I am pointing out is that the information in the lead section has not been included in the article. From what I can see is that the lead section could be moved to the history section and a new lead written that properly summarizes the article. By adding this tag I am hoping to highlight how the article could be improved. -
