History

The club was founded in 1972. It was promoted to the top division in 1974 and has been in the top division continuously since then. They became Austrian champions seven times (1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1994, 1995 and 1996) and won the Austrian Cup four times (1994, 1995, 1996, 1997). In the 1993/94 season, the club reached the final of the EHF Cup.[2]

In the 2023-24 season they won their first championship since 1996.
